Abstract
This paper presents a single-stage asymmetrical LLC resonant converter which performs both input-current harmonics reduction and power factor correction (PFC). The proposed asymmetrical control approach has rather the low voltage stress in the power switches than the conventional control approach for the single-stage LLC resonant converter. Furthermore, this converter achieved zero voltage switching (ZVS) in switching devices. The proposed converter features cost-effectiveness, high efficiency. Finally, Simulation and experimental results from a 300W prototype are provided to verify the feasibility.
