Abstract
High power charger simulation on MATLAB/SIMULINK is presented in this paper based on CHAdeMO standard protocols. This charger is powered by 3-phase utility grid with Power Factor Correction (PFC) at the front stage. Where, PFC will improve input current THD according to grid code. The diode rectifier circuit at the input stage performs an input voltage for DC to DC Converter. This DC to DC Converter is consisted of 6 modules of Buck converter, 4kW each, arranged in interleaving mode. Therefore, this fast charger will be able to send out high power at 24 kW, 300V. By using LiFePO4 battery, this unit can be charged more than 2C rate with fast charger. This will lead the way to the future electric vehicle to restore energy in a short period of time. Overall, this paper will present simulation results of front stage AC to DC with PFC and the output stage DC to DC Converter.
