Abstract
In this paper, a hybrid antenna for suitable MIMO (Multi Input Multi Output) system for the hexa band mobile phone included LTE700 was designed and implemented. Hybrid consists of a monopole and an IFA (Inverted F Antenna). Monopole is fed, and IFA is simultaneously operated by the capacitive coupling of the monopole. Increase of capacitance by the coupling structure can perform both the low frequency resonance and the wide antenna bandwidth. To achieve small size, antenna is used vlade technique. PCB embedded type was applied to antenna design. For verification of this study, we designed hexa band as LTE700, CDMA, GSM900, DCS1800, PCS and WCDMA, and implemented on the bare board that is same size of real board of the handset. VSWR measurement showed within 3:1 over the whole design band. Average gains and efficiencies were measured as -3.74 ~ -1.31dBi and 42.40 ~ 73.91% for proposed antenna. H-plane radiation patterns were almost omni-directional.
