  • Abstract
Mastering the fluctuation characteristics of renewable energy is the foundation of finding out possible solutions for its integration to a power grid in large scale. From the aspects of correlation and complementation, this paper profiles the probability rules of both single renewable generation and multi resources when fluctuation takes place in different space and in varying time scale. First of all, the daily, quarterly and yearly fluctuation characteristics are analyzed based on real telemetries, then probability distribution model of wind power is established. Based on this, evaluating indexes that can reveal the correlation and complementation characteristics are proposed, then corresponding probability analyses are carried out. Results show that, by using the correlation and complementation characteristics among multi resources in wide area of a huge grid, the single renewable energy´s randomness and fluctuation can be well improved, which is conductive to the integration of renewable energies in large scale.
