Abstract :
Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) have appealed to revolutionize the traffic flow control system and human driving experiences. In this paper, we introduce an efficient anonymous batch authenticated and key agreement scheme using self-certified public keys to simultaneously authenticate multiple requests sent from different vehicles and negotiate different session keys meanwhile. Additionally, the proposed scheme can achieve conditional privacy preservation, where each vehicle has its pseudoidentity, while only the trust authority can retrieve the real identity of a malicious vehicle. By the adoption of the self-certified public keys, both the computational and communication costs are reduced.
