Abstract
An antenna design is presented for antenna performance improvement for WLAN applications at 5.2 GHz and 5.8 GHz. Improved Patch antenna gain and radiation efficiency has been achieved in this work. Two CSSRR have been etched in the ground plane to achieve size reduction for dual band operation. The proposed antenna provides good flexibility on selection of dual frequency operation by modifying dimension of CSSRR and patch while capacitive matching has been achieved by gap coupling. The antenna was designed using CST V.12 simulator.
