Abstract :
This paper describes the application of Model Based approach for constructing the simulator for the cardiovascular system. Each organ composing the cardiovascular system is modeled based on the previously suggested electrical circuit approach and the entire simulator is implemented by using MATLAB / Simulink. This simulator makes it possible to estimate parameters of the cardiovascular system as an inverse-problem solving approach. The experimental results showed that the parameters were precisely estimated. These results also indicate the possibility of the application of Model Based approach to the coupled simulation in the medical engineering filed.
