Abstract :
Recently, the Model-Based-Development (MBD) methodologies are becoming popular in the control design field. Engineers have been paying attention on how to apply MBD method to wider ranged applications. Hence, the simulation based testing, which is one of MBD methodologies, such as x-In-the-Loop (xIL) Simulation where x could be software, model or hardware, becomes substantially significant because the verification and validation process has been more and more difficult due to the increased code size of the controller. And its increase is caused by the ever-increasing complexity of the controller targets. This paper shows how to efficient plant modeling and efficient code generation required for xIL Simulation using the symbolic-algebraic method in Maple and MapleSim.
