Abstract :
With the enhancement of mobile devices features, to reduce the power consumption and extend the battery duration is a big challenge. To reduce power consumption and enhance the image display quality in the mobile devices, a novel structure of Multi-blocks Light Guide Plate (LGP) in the edge-type backlight module is proposed in this paper. The novel structure of LGP limits the backlight in one block and the brightness of each block can be dynamic controlled. Moreover, the users of mobile devices can set the “Clipping Threshold” themselves according to their needs.
