Abstract :
In product quality inspection, machine vision is playing an increasingly important role. The color is an important indicator of capsule quality inspection. This paper has provided a feasible algorithm to inspect the capsule color based on machine vision. It inroduces the application of three popular kinds of color model, RGB model, HSL model and LAB model in the capsule images of uneven illumination. The data analysis of 160 capsules images shows that LAB model is the accurate algorithm of capsule color inspection even on uneven illumination images.
