Abstract
Electroluminescence generated during the short circuit of the polarized Linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) sample is investigated. By measuring the electroluminescence and damped oscillation discharge current, the relations between the electroluminescence and discharge current was discussed. Results show that the luminescence comes from space charge recombination, which was partly demonstrated by the equivalent capacitance decided (damped oscillatory) period of short-circuit current.
