Abstract
There are two different types of messages transmitted on Multiple Vehicle Bus (MVB): periodic messages and aperiodic messages, and the aperiodic messages are sporadically transmitted based on event polling. It´s very meaningful to improve the response time of aperiodic messages for train operation safety. The paper considers the optimization of aperiodic message transmission mainly from two aspects: reasonably assigning the device addresses and allocating multiple priority levels instead of two. An optimization model is proposed and a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is applied to get the solution. The result shows that compared with method recommended in IEC-61375, the proposed method could reduce the collisions considerably.
