  • Abstract
    A method to reconstruct the field distribution on slot array antennas is presented. The field on each slot is reconstructed with high spatial resolution by extrapolating the invisible region of the plane wave spectrum (PWS) using the Gerchberg-Papoulis (G-P) algorithm. The information of the slot positions, angles, and lengths is exploited in the G-P algorithm to enhance the accuracy and resolution of the reconstructed field. The proposed algorithm is validated through the source reconstruction of a K-band radial line slot antenna (RLSA) from the near field on planar and spherical scanning surfaces.
