  • Abstract
    Authentication scheme is important and widely used in various environments, including cloud computing. Among these authentication schemes, password-based authentication schemes are easy to deploy. Furthermore, a three-factor (password, smart card and biometric) authentication scheme adds more secure factors to authentication process. In 2012, An pointed out that a three-factor authentication scheme proposed by Das was vulnerable to various attacks. Then An suggested an improvement. He claimed that his scheme was more secure than the scheme given by Das. However, we demonstrate that his scheme is still under attacking. We then introduce an enhanced protocol to overcome such problems. The proposed scheme is more secure than the previous related works and maintains high performance.
