Abstract :
Optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) is an attractive technology to accommodate the simultaneous transmission from several emitters by assigning a unique code to each emitter, and reduce the multiple access interference (MAI) by the good correlation property of the code set. In this paper, a new code set who has zero correlation zone (ZCZ) property is proposed for visible light communications (VLC) system. Both the multiple access interference (MAI) and phase-induced intensity noise (PUN) noise of the VLC system can be eliminated directly by utilizing the proposed code set as the signature codes.
