Research on mobility management of heterogeneous wireless access network

In the future, a variety of access networks and a large number of mobile multi-mode may coexist in a heterogeneous wireless network. First, the authors introduce the definition and classification of the mobility management in such a context. Then, we analyze the key technologies of mobility management applied in the handoff decision-making and handoff execution in the present wireless network. Finally, we summarize the brand new challenges which may be faced by the mobility management.
