Abstract :
This paper focuses on an introduction to the test and measurement of different commercially available wireless standards. The different wireless working groups each present the unique specifications for the PHY in their standard documents. And while it may seem overwhelming to start working with new standards, the concepts for, and requirements of, physical layer analysis are largely transferable between them. This paper presents an introduction to the most common measurements needed to test the physical layers of modern communication protocols.
