Abstract :
This presentation is a tutorial on the application of auto reclosing in overhead lines where at least one of the terminals is multi breaker. Design considerations will be presented for breaker and a half, ring bus, and double bus - double breaker line terminals. The mentioned bay arrangements will be described in detail including the position of current and voltage instrument transformers. Finally, the utilization of communication technologies to aid in the deployment of such schemes will be discussed.
