Abstract :
By the end of 2011, the number of the subscribers of the cellular networks has reached 6 billion [1]. The number is expected to reach as many as people population in the whole world by the end of 2013 [2]. Despite this huge number of mobile subscribers served by so many mobile networks, the cellular networks suffer from severe security vulnerabilities and attacks. In this paper we propose applying new Scalable Intrusion Detection System to detect those attacks. Our system has three contributions; comprehensive design to detect most of the MS and cellular network attacks, scalable design where the monitored events of the anomaly-based component can be increased smoothly, and secure learning phase to protect the user profile.
