Abstract
Based on new characteristics of H. 264/AVC, video compression coding standard, a robust video watermarking algorithm for H. 264 that combined with the error correction coding technology was put forward in the paper. In order to improve the robustness to the attack, the error correction code was applied first on the watermark information, then the Lagrangian optimization coding control model was introduced in the watermarking algorithm, for achieving the best rate-distortion balance. After tested on different video test sequences, the experimental results shown that the algorithm had small influence on video quality and bit rate, and had certain robustness to the attack such as adding noise on video or re-encoding, and etc. The extraction of watermark did not need completely decoding for the compressed code stream, and could realize watermark blind extraction. The algorithm had achieved low complexity, and could satisfy the need of real-time video watermark detection.
