Research on digital reconstruction of Chinese ancient architecture

With the development of social and economy, the increased people´s living standard and the accelerated urbanization, a large number of domestic ancient architecture have already been disappeared or in danger of disappearing due to man-made destruction and natural decay. Chinese Ancient Architectures are on the verge of disappearing. This paper makes research on ancient architectural form and structure to collect the digital reduction of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Through using MAYA and Zbrush to establish a digital building model library, it makes people have a full understanding and grasp on ancient buildings of Ming and Qing dynasties from images, three - dimensional digital models and documents.
