Abstract
A remote mutual password authentication scheme specially designed for third-party payment platform via elliptic curve cryptography is proposed in this paper, and a third-party payment model which takes advantage of the excellent features of the proposed scheme to ensure the security of online payment is introduced. Meanwhile, rigorous cryptanalysis is made to clarify the good performance of the proposed scheme in defending various attacks. Besides that, comparison with other related authentication schemes is also made to show the unique suitability of our scheme in third-party payment.
