Abstract :
Arrays of CMOS-compatible double photonic crystal mirror vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (PCM-VCSELs) for dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) are presented. An optically-pumped 16xλ VCSEL array emitting in the C-band with a frequency channel spacing of 100 GHz is demonstrated.
