Abstract :
3D video can bring better viewing experience than traditional video, and it has a rapid development in recent years. But the lack of 3D content is becoming a severe bottleneck for the entire 3D industry. As 3D video becomes more and more popular, the 2D video into 3D video is an effective way to solve this problem. This paper gives an account about 2D to 3D implementation process and focus on the depth extraction according to the different depth cues (motion cues, geometric cues and focus degrees). At last, the direction of future research has been pointed out.
