Abstract :
A direct analytical reconfiguration method based on tracking-differentiator (TD) is applied to the reconfiguration of the flight control systems (FCS) angular rate sensors signals. When the common mode failure of the FCS sensor redundancy happens or vote fails, the analytical reconfiguration signals could assist the FCS to identify the correct signal, or when all the signals of redundancy system are mask, the analytical reconfiguration signals could effectively support the normal work of the FCS to achieve dissimilar fault-tolerant control. The precision of the reconfiguration angular rate using TD is highly developed compared with that using the first order backward difference. Simulation tests indicate that the errors of the reconfiguration angular rates are suppressed with plus and minus 0.2 degree per second when the aircraft cruises at the trim point and the reconfiguration angular rates could track up the actual angular rates within 5 to 10 sample times (sample time 0.0125 seconds) when the aircraft is under the control of the surfaces.
