Abstract
The power consumption of embedded portable terminal increases with its increasing functions. Power management scheme becomes an important concern in embedded applications. In this paper, aiming at implementing a power management system with low power-consuming, small packing and stable performance on embedded portable terminal, we analyze the power supply requirements in different modes according to its hardware structure, propose different power management policies when system is in different modes, design and implement the power management system based on ARM combining software with hardware. At last, we measure the system power consumption in the different conditions, measurement results indicate that the power management system implemented in this paper meets the design requirements, can provide the embedded portable terminal with reliable power supply.
