Design and implementation of cell-ID location system based on signal monitoring

In this paper, a Cell-ID location system based on signal monitoring (SM-CLS) is designed and implemented. After the discussion of the problems in the existing Cell-ID location technique, the Cell-ID location technique based on signal monitoring is introduced. With the technique, SM-CLS is designed and implemented. As obtaining Cell-IDs from the signal monitoring system, SM-CLS avoids the interplay between the location-based services and the core network. The disaster warning application proves the practical feasibility of the system at last.
