Abstract
This paper presents a digital baseband processor in a dual-carrier orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DC-OFDM) based ultra-wideband (UWB) systems. The fundamental architecture of the digital baseband and its frame structure is declared. After that, the major components are investigated in both transmitter and receiver. The digital baseband processor has been fabricated using 65 nm CMOS Technology. The chip measurement showed that it supports eight different data rates for practical applications and achieves the required PER performance specified in China-wireless personal area network UWB standard.
