  • Abstract
    Renewable energy is getting increasingly important and there are many studies on alternative renewable energy. This study tried to generate renewable electrical energy using piezoelectric. The aim is to convert the mechanical energy from either finger force or water drops into electrical energy using piezoelectric material. The resulting raw energy was an AC and relatively small, so it was amplified using RC coupled amplifier and then converted into DC using a full wave bridge rectifier. The harvested energy was used to lit up a series of LEDs. The measured mean Vpp were 3.47 ± 1.17 V and 0.45 ± 0.22 V using finger force and water drops respectively. This study may lead to further research on generating renewable energy using rain.
