Abstract
A coordinated linear system is a linear system consisting of several subsystems, one of which (the coordinator) renders the other subsystems conditionally linear independent. Of interest to control of particular distributed systems is the construction of minimal coordinators for a coordinated linear system. This paper provides characterizations of minimal coordinators, and procedures for their construction.
