Abstract
The most critical part of modern switching-mode power supplies is the regulated DC to DC power converter because its dynamic behavior still has to be improved. Nowadays many researchers are trying to apply different methods in order to improve the control of this kind of devices. One of the most important techniques is known as Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control policy which allows to obtain an averaging model for modeling the converters. Using this averaging model we applied the EPSAC predictive control method for controlling the Boost converter.
