Abstract
In this paper, H2 state feedback control for large-scale systems is studied in a different approach from the existing methods. The attention is focused on the design of a near-optimal H2 controller which does not depend on the values of the small unknown weak coupling parameter. It is newly shown that the resulting controller in fact achieves O(ε2) approximation of the optimal H2 cost.
