Abstract
This paper presents about a flying robot for data collection and patrolling purposes. The data collection is done using camera where the output of the camera is given to monitor. The flying mechanism consists of brushless DC motor and propeller which decides the motion and the direction of the robot. The power supply is given by nickel metal hydride battery. The control mechanism requires radio frequency and PIC microcontroller. The navigation system is provided by GPS which is used to detect the correct location of the robot. If the robot is equipped with the combat equipment, it protects from the enemy threat by controlling it from safer distance like UCAV (unmanned combat vehicle).
