Abstract
In this paper application of Piezoelectric material for energy harvesting has been investigated. Low power electronic circuits can be powered using renewable energy sources such as Piezoelectric output voltage generated by mechanical excitation. Two modes of excitation for Piezoelectric transducers have been examined for two common AC to DC converters. It has been shown that the optimum operating mode for Piezoelectric transducer is hitting mode for energy harvesting applications.
