Abstract
The recent arrival of technological devices such as smart phones or tablets has had an enormous impact on the whole society. The young generation cannot imagine their living without them anymore. All these changes undoubtedly are reflected in all spheres of human activities including learning. Therefore the purpose of this article is to discuss the concept of m-learning, the most common mobile devices students have at their possession and their potential for higher education. This is done both in theory and practice which is based on a small-scale empirical survey.
