Abstract
We describe a cost-effective methodology for obtaining loadings for the environmentally significant chemical species (silicate, nitrate, nitrite, ammonium, and orthophosphate) through coastal inlets (Hillsboro and Boca Raton, Florida, USA). Loadings were computed from field measurements obtained during an 18-month period, including four ebb tide intensive sampling efforts and biweekly water-grab samples.
