Abstract

The paper focuses on the pedagogical aspects, user functions and software design considerations of a simulation "workshop" developed within HADOC, which is a web-based educational package dedicated to the exploration of basic concepts in Automatic Control and to the study of the multiple interconnections between these concepts. HADOC contains expository/static elements like definitions, methods, proofs, examples and interactive/dynamic elements like multiple choice questions (using HTML forms) and simulations (using Java applets).
