Abstract
A novel tri-band slot antenna fed by a microstrip line with rectangular tuning stub. The proposed antenna is intended for Long Term Evolution (LTE), in which the antenna covers the three bands: 758-865 MHz, 1510-1940 MHz, and 2488-2740 MHz. The antenna gives respectively 13%, 24% and 9.6% of impedance bandwidth for the upper bands considering -10dB matching criteria. The slot antenna gives nearly omnidirectional radiation pattern so a ground plane reflector had been introduced so that the antenna gets directional characteristics. All antenna parameters were optimized to achieve reasonable cross polarization levels in the directions of interest.
