Abstract :
Summary form only given. The convergence of multiple rEvolutions - Internet, Data, Software, Computing, Hardware, and Personalized attention is transforming governments across the world, on how they provide services to their citizens and remain relevant. The convergence of multiple forces enables the government to leverage Big Data, Smart Data and Dark Data by leveraging the concept of Big Open Data. The Big Open Data provides holistic views of citizens and other entities, real-time delivery of information to protect and service citizens and prevent fraud and abuse of countries resources. With a focus on innovation, strategy, better and faster decision the government can maximize the benefits from the Big Data. While harnessing Big Data has proven value in many enterprises and organizations, there are many pitfalls. What are those pitfalls and How to avoid them will be presented. Big Data by virtue of its narrow definition creates fear about the privacy, security and governance of the data. One of the pillars of Big Data is Virtual, and by taking advantage of this pillar along with other six pillars of Big Data, once can address the governance, privacy and security aspects of Big Data.
