Abstract
Stand-alone power generation systems are an effective method of providing Power to Area which is not supplied by grid. Greater penetration of Renewable Energy Sources can be achieved in such projects. Stochastic simulations can be used to determining the capacity of wind/photovoltaic generation plant. In this paper we used Deficiency of Power Supply (DPS) and Deficiency of Power Supply Probability (DPSP) to evaluate sizing considering reliability requirements. A case study was conducted to analyse a hybrid project, designed to supply a lumped load.
