Abstract :
A scheme is presented to integrate a primary-side-sensing technique into a model-predictive-controller for a Flyback converter. The circuit consists of a signal processor, an observer, and a model-predictive controller. Besides inheriting the advantages of model-predictive-control, e.g. optimal tradeoff between overshoot and fast stabilization, and constraints handling, the proposed controller allows for hardware saving by applying primary-side-sensing.
