Abstract
In this paper an artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) cell is proposed, which is an evolution from a square patch. The behavior of the AMC is investigated by modeling it as capacitor and inductor circuit elements, and simulation by computer softwares. A prototype model of an array of AMC cells in the form of 30×30 cells is fabricated and measured, which verifies its expected characteristics. The geometrical configuration of the proposed AMC structure is quite flexible and adaptable to the particular design specifications.
