Abstract
Classical acoustic Helmholtz´s theory of speech production proceeds from the fact that processes of speech production and speech perception are symmetrical, but it does not solve the main problem of connection between individual formant frequencies and characteristics of human hearing. In the present report, this problem is considered in the light of the author´s discovery of the formula for the middle ear norm parameter. Mathematically, norm parameter is an invariant of all subjects; physically - optimizing condition of the middle ear per maximum bandwidth in the speech range 100-4000 Hz; medically - the middle ear norm parameter.
