Abstract :
This article is devoted to the problems of reliability growth of the protection functions when upgrading APCS of potentially hazardous processes of special chemistry production. Possible ways of increasing the reliability indicators of the protection functions are showed. A method of evaluation the economic performance of the definition of reliability requirements to secondary (newly introduced) elements of the protection subsystem in accordance with the hypothesis of expenditure function is presented.
