Abstract :
In this paper, we investigate throughput efficiencies of relaying algorithms with the ideal selective-repeat ARQ in Flying Ad hoc Networks (FANETs). We consider a network of three nodes: the source, the destination, and the relay. We propose Markov models of three relaying algorithms: chunk-by-chunk algorithm, fifty-fifty algorithm, and ratio-based algorithm. Throughput efficiencies of these algorithms are compared. Simulation results are obtained for scenarios with stationary and mobile relay node.
