Abstract
The paper provides a review of existing Petersen Coil control systems. Phase and amplitude (extremal) methods are proposed as optimal methods for the preliminary tuning of compensation under normal operating conditions. Phase, frequency method is put forward for earth fault mode tuning. The combination of these methods is recommended to use in order to achieve high tuning accuracy.
