Abstract
This paper focuses on the gravity compensation stands which simulate weightlessness environment for process of solar array deployment on the Earth. Much attention is given to classification and development of a gravity compensation system. The paper also presents the comparative analysis of different classes of the gravity compensation stands, identifies advantages and disadvantages of these classes. The examples of different stands, that are used by modern space enterprises, are described.
