Abstract
In less than a decade, mobile and wireless technology has quickly evolved providing us means for pervasive computation and communication. Therefore, users quickly shifted from desktop/laptop computers to mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. This technology is part of everyday life, influencing almost all activities, including the way they learn. In this paper, we consider the use of mobile applications for educational purposes. In particular, we have developed a tool that provides students and teachers with a more pervasive learning experience. Through the use of our quiz game, we can help students in acquiring new knowledge stimulated by competition, while having fun.
