Abstract
Over the past few years there has been significant progress towards realizing the vision of a converged Internet and Broadcast media delivery system. Convergence means providing a seamless user experience and reusing the same technologies to provide common functionality (reducing costs and increasing compatibilities), while maintaining the personalization benefits of the Internet and the scalability benefits of Broadcast. In this talk I will describe some of the technologies employed for Internet and Broadcast media delivery, describing commonalities as well as differences.
