Abstract
Many people want to learn how to play a musical instrument. Modern business life however makes hard for people to make time for scheduled musical lessons. People tend to find time for this kind of activities in various periods of their working day. This implies that some kind of self-paced learning system would be well-suited for this kind of learning. Self-paced learning systems would have to be able to track progress of its users and also adapt its courses depending on one´s abilities and the speed of progress. In this paper this kind of system is described and discussed. The question that needs to be answered is whether people in fact have real interest for this kind of system and what aspects of this kind of system they find important. This paper presents research results that give answers to these questions. Presented results are discussed and directions for future research are also stated and elaborated.
